Moily Committe: For or against quota

The Moily Committee which has been formed to formulate a policy for the implementation of the quota scheme, appears to have been packed with the anti-quota quota people. Every pronouncment made by the committe whether it is regarding to quota in IIMs or R&D institution has been attached with a number of suffixes and prefixes.

The Moily committee with a subtle backing from some congress Ministers is bent upon diluting the constitutional amendment regarding the quotas to OBCs. Basically, the upper caste lobby which has been unable to stop the quota brigade in the parliament is now trying to do the same through the Supreme Court which is no doubt filled by meritorious judges but all belong to the upper castes.
Somewhere down the line the caste becomes too strong a connection for any Indian to get beyond or above it, while making an important decision.
In addition, the upper caste media primarily led by Indian Express is hellbent on proving that there is a major rift in the government ranks on this issue and Congress is a house divided on implementing quota.
Even today, while no other newspaper has reported regarding any differences in the Indian government regarding quota, Indian Express has given this story the lead space.

judge, jury may be of upper castes but its because fo their work, expertise and knowledge and not of their caste as FCs dont have reservation anywhere.not anyone can become a judge or jury in a split second.experience and knowledge only are the basis ok!so there is nothing strange in this.its the universal truth.

Dont you agree that the forward castes had jumpstart over the depressed people. For hundreds of years, education has been monopolized and the depressed were barred from it.
Upper castes have been trying to insure that the dalits remain hewer of wood and water carriers.

see only after independence, opportunities were open to all.education, industries were started in full swing and then expanded.as the OBCs were downtrodden the court decided to reserve seats for them but it came with a time period.but only the creamy layers used it.this reservation stuff cud not reach a boy in a tea shop or a girl as a house maid.only the established keep using it.y r they not content with the exisiting 22%?if 50+ yrs not enough then this will continue till apocalypse?the govt must eliminate creamy layer benefits and continue with the same % ge.just for vote banks this matter got raised.nowadays u can see an OBC opressing an SC/ST or ...its a feud between them only.

hey ramya, i must tell you that reservations for OBCs started only in 1990, that too after VP Singh took this bold decision. Half the Indians are backwards but there percentage in jobs, industry, society and polity has been negligible, it was only after Mandal that the lot of OBCs improved.
We are not against forward castes but we just want our share of the sunlight.
Let the education and jobs expand and every one get what he deserves.

Hey Mine, don't you think, the govt. could have promoted the reservation system as "sab padhe, sab aage badhe" rather than caste based fued.do email your thoughts to me..
